The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday, October 2nd at approximately 5:49 pm, their office received a report of an ATV accident at a residence off Hawthorne Road, approximately three miles east of Little Falls, MN in Belle Prairie Township. According to the Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Zachary Tomsche of Albany MN, was operating an ATV with passenger 26-year-old Logan Gerads of Rice, MN. The ATV hit a bump, causing Gerards to be thrown from the machine. Gerards struck his head on a steel pole located in the yard. Gerads was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with unknown injuries. The accident remains under investigation. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor. The Morrison County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
