Minnesota DNR Opens Commercial Fishing License Bids for areas of Minnesota. The licenses cover fishing areas in parts of western and northern Minnesota, including counties along the Minnesota River and portions of Clearwater, Beltrami and Hubbard counties. The D-N-R says applicants should have experience using commercial fishing equipment such as seines and hoop nets and be able to transport large quantities of fish. Applications must be received by November 6th. Licensed operators are responsible for marketing or legally disposing of fish harvested through their operations.
