A 52-year-old Watertown man fled from Meeker County deputies twice Sunday afternoon before disappearing into a cornfield in Dassel. A deputy stopped Steven Oachs, who allegedly gave a false name before fleeing on foot into a cornfield. Oachs later emerged and was picked up by a friend. Deputies stopped the vehicle, but Oachs again fled into the cornfield. Deputies established a perimeter and used drones, while a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter assisted with the search. Oachs was not located. Authorities say Oachs has multiple drug-related warrants for his arrest.
