A 17-year-old boy from Walker, Minnesota, died of a gunshot wound in a death ruled a homicide, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. An autopsy completed by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the ruling, Sheriff Bryan Welk said. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made, according to the sheriff’s office. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Leech Lake Tribal Police and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, the sheriff’s office said. A male was found dead Sunday, Sept. 13, at approximately 7:57 a.m., after the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a request for an ambulance from the Leech Lake Tribal Police for a report of a man possibly deceased in the area of John Moose Drive NW in Pike Bay Township, rural Cass Lake, according to the sheriff’s office. Medical crews and officers arrived and found a male deceased in the yard of a residence.
