On Saturday, October 12, at 12:05 p.m. the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a skid loader accident at an address on Smith lake. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office when deputies arrived on scene they learned a skid loader was being used to remove dock equipment from the lake. As the skid loader was backing out of the lake it tipped forward. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says an adult male and adult female were transported to Alomere Health with non life threatening injuries. Assisting on scene were Osakis First Responders and the Minnesota DNR.
