Todd County Sheriff


On Friday afternoon 10/11/2024 at approximately 5:03 pm  the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a call in regards to a semi blocking traffic at HWY 27 and County 11 in rural Little Sauk township. Todd County Deputies responded. A 2015 Yellow Peterbilt 385 driven by Max Christiaan Schiphof age 25 of Melrose was located in the southbound ditch partially blocking traffic in the southbound lane. Center towing assisted with clearing the roadway. No injuries were reported from this incident.


On Friday afternoon 10/11/2024 at approximately 4:05 pm  the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in regards to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of HWY 287 and county 6 in rural Birchdale Township. Todd County deputies and Long Prairie Centra-Care Ambulance responded. A 2013 Brown Nissan Altima driven by Jose Luis Gutierrez Vazquez age 25 of Melrose was located in the southbound ditch of HWY 287 with heavy front-end damage. Also, a 2007 Silver Ford Edge driven by 53 year old James Beilke of Sauk Centre was located on the southbound shoulder of HWY 287 partially blocking the southbound lane with heavy side and front-end damage. Petries towing removed both vehicles and assisted with opening the roadway. Both parties where check by EMS on scene and cleared.


On Wednesday evening 10/09/2024 at approximately 6:43 pm  the Todd County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a report of a one vehicle accident with injuries near the address of 23367 161st Ave, rural Osakis. Upon arrival Deputies found a 1994 John Deere 7200 laying on its side in the west ditch. Deputies identified the driver of the tractor as Paul Reinbold of rural Long Prairie. Reinbold sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to the CentraCare Hospital. The Todd County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Long Prairie Fire Department, Long Prairie Ambulance and Petrie’s Towing.
