Two brothers are facing felony aggravated assault charges after West Fargo police say a fight outside a bar left three people injured, including one man who briefly lost consciousness and a woman who suffered a broken nose. 23 year old Landon Gode, , of West Fargo, and 24 year old Mason Gode, 24 of Browerville , Minnesota, were each charged September 14 in Cass County District Court with one count of aggravated assault, a Class C felony. Both were arraigned in custody the same day. A preliminary hearing and arraignment is scheduled for October 16, with a felony dispositional conference set for December 2. According to a West Fargo Police Department report, officers responded to Unhynged Bar on Sheyenne Street around 2:06 a.m. on September 12 after a caller reported an active fight in the parking lot, with two people down and one unconscious. Officers arrived to find a large crowd along with an injured woman seated on the ground. The report states the altercation began after a comment referencing Native Americans angered one of two men who told police they became involved in the fight. According to surveillance footage reviewed by officers, one of the men pushed Landon Gode, who then lifted him off the ground and slammed him onto the concrete, causing him to briefly lose consciousness. The report states Mason Gode then struck the second man, lifting him and slamming him onto the pavement, causing him to lose consciousness for several minutes; bystanders told officers he appeared to have a seizure following the impact. According to the report, as the altercation continued, one of the men was pushed down again and fell onto a woman who had stepped in during the fight, causing her head to strike the pavement and knocking her unconscious. The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene and later confirmed she suffered a broken nose, according to the report. Both Landon and Mason Gode were arrested at the scene and booked into the Cass County Jail. The bar’s manager requested that both men be trespassed from the property.
